Avilla is a small Noble County town just north of the Allen County line. It is close enough to Leo-Cedarville that the wildlife does not notice a border. The squirrels in the yard trees certainly do not.
Homes here are a mix of older houses near the center of town and places on larger lots as you head out. Larger lots mean more sheds, more decks, and more chances for a skunk or an opossum to settle underneath. Attic calls still happen, especially where a gable faces a tree.
Kendallville is the bigger neighbor to the north. Fort Wayne is the longer drive south. If you are in Avilla, you are welcome to request an inspection. If you are past Kendallville, send the ZIP and we will be honest about the drive. In town, 46710 is the ZIP we expect.
Houses around Avilla
In-town gables and out-of-town sheds. We ask which one is making the noise so the visit matches the building.
What we get called for
Squirrels on town trees
A gable that faces a limb is the first place we look.
Under the shed
Skunks and opossums like a larger lot with a quiet floor.
Raccoons at night
A thump after dark is still a raccoon until we see otherwise.
